Avenue of Art is a great way for families, businesses, Church groups, or local artists to make their mark on Pumpkinfest. This year we are partnering with All Rout, Inc., who supplies us with wooden structures for various groups to decorate. Grab a partner and join us for our Pumpkinfest Adult-Child Cornhole Tournament! This will be a round-robin tournament that will be played outdoors on Main Street in downtown Zeeland during the City of Zeeland’s “Pumpkinfest” event. Each team will play every other team in the tournament one time. The team with the best win-loss record at the end of the tournament wins a trophy + gift card to a local restaurant! The children will compete against each other on one side while the adults will compete against each other on the opposite board. Participants should sign up as a team.

 Children ages 3-12pm are invited to test their tractor pulling skills! Registration starts at 3pm at the corner of Church & Main in front of the Post Office and the pull starts at 4pm! Skip the line and fill out the registration form ahead of time, print, and bring it with you to the event! Thank you to Zeeland Farm Services for sponsoring this amazing event!

This is a community Fun Run for all ages. Come support your local Zeeland Athletic Boosters. The 100 yard dash or 1/2 mile fun run for kids takes place starting out front of Zeeland West High School by the Main Office entrance. The 5K starts and ends at the Zeeland West High School Main Office entrance, after winding through the beautiful Zeeland school properties. Help us celebrate the Zeeland Pumpkinfest by joining in this safe closed course. Awards for the kids runs will be given out on the course. Awards for the 5k run will be given out in the Zeeland West Cafeteria at the completion of the race.  Come enjoy refreshments (including cookies from the Holland Cakery) after the race.

Enjoy a night of meeting and chatting with local published authors from around the Lakeshore! Each writer will have their own table where you’ll be able to have a friendly discussion and the opportunity to purchase one of their books! Authors include: Tricia Bartels, Catie Cordero, Emilie Deyoung, Jessica Foster, Kevin Kammeraad, Dani Kraai, Christy McCulfor, Eric and Meredith Schrotenboer, Kristen Sterk, Dan Van Ommen and Dana VanderLugt.

Join The Village Puppeteers for a raucous comic romp, packed with silly antics and featuring colorful puppets, Puss 'n Boots, The Three Little Pigs, Humpty Dumpty, and Little Miss Muffet are joined by a host of others, including a handsome prince, a maiden in distress and a dazzling dragon. This is an audience-tested crowd pleaser that is fun for the kids, with plenty of humor for adults.

Kidzfest takes place on Church Street between Main and Central during the dates/hours listed above. Inflatables, barrel train rides, petting zoo, carnival games, face painting, and live performances are just some of the many things to do during this event! There is something for everyone and the best thing is that it is all FREE!

Are you ready for a gourd time?  We are thrilled to announce Challenge Island's first-ever Pumpkin Zipline event in partnership with the Zeeland Historical Society at Pumpkinfest! Join us for an unforgettable time of STEAM-inspired fun where we'll design, craft, and race our very own zipline carriages for mini pumpkins.

This is a hands-on, screen-free event where participants will collaborate and unleash their creativity as they design and construct their pumpkin carriers.

The Pumpkin Zipline event will take place on October 5th, 2024, at the Dekker Huis Museumfrom 1:30 - 3:30.  Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to learn, play, and bond with your family and friends. Join us on the 5th to pumpkin-spice up our STEAM skills!

We have been collaborating with our friends at PAWS With A Cause & will have PAWS assistance dogs & assistance dogs-in-training at Tripelroot for you to meet & learn about.

Our PAWS With A Cause friends will be visiting us twice: from Noon-2pm & 5pm-8pm. Please stop by & learn about how impactful this organization is to our community! (Our hot lunch menu will run from 11:30am-2pm on this Friday.)

We will be making a donation for EVERY pint sold of our Oktoberfest all day long, so come on in & do your part!
